Montel Williams has been an outspoken and respected cannabis advocate for many years now. Like many other celebrities, he recently announced that he is moving forward with his own line of high-quality cannabis.
On September 8, Williams was a keynote speaker at the Cannabis World Congress and Business Exposition. It was there he announced he plan to break into the cannabis business world. “I’m putting my face right on the box. I support legalization because it will grant access to more patients.” His new startup is named LenitivLabs and its specialty will be connecting their customers with high-quality cannabis.
Montel Williams has been vocal about how cannabis has helped him deal with multiple sclerosis over the years, being diagnosed with the disease in 1999. Now, he hopes his new company will help other medicate the same way. Cannabis from LenitivLabs will be consistent, reliable and tested so that it is safe for patients dealing with serious diseases. On the business’ website,Montel Williams shared, “Medical cannabis has allowed me to live a productive, fruitful life despite having multiple sclerosis. Many thousands of others all over this country, less well-known than me but whose stories are just as real, have experienced the same thing.”
Melissa Ethridge also just made her announcement that she is launching her own cannabis line of products called Etheridge Farms. Her line of products will include topicals, edibles and tinctures. With so many prominent and respected celebrities helping to fight for safe medicine, we can only hope to see the cannabis industry continue to move forward toward legalization.
