How would you describe your company? What is your specialty?
Ganja Gold is conscious, connoisseur grade cannabis. We consistently deliver quality by meticulously testing our materials to ensure only the cleanest, highest quality cannabis is used to make our strain specific pre-rolls, live resin vape cartridges, wax and oil. We’re famous throughout the state for our Tarantulas—a top-shelf pre-roll with a robust terpene profile, rolled in raw natural paper, coated with CO2 wax and evenly covered in a fine layer of kief.
What do you offer consumers/clients that others don’t?
Our customers don’t just use our products, they experience them. Our wide array of tests ensure that customers can always trust Ganja Gold to provide them with not only clean burning top-shelf products, but with the most authentic taste and terpene profile of the strain. We offer you the peace of mind to know you’re getting the best the marketplace has to offer.
How and why did your company start up?
Ganja Gold started in 2012 with two pounds of cannabis, a duffel bag and a dream. Born out of frustration with an industry that was charging top-dollar prices for less than top-shelf product, we desired to provide patients with honest, tested, clean cannabis and a quality experience that’s well worth the price. We seek to fuel change in the industry and spread the idea that quality matters above all else.
With the changing landscape of medical and recreational cannabis, what do you see as the biggest challenges to your progress as a company? Any advantages?
Among the biggest challenges are regulations being formed by individuals who don’t necessarily have a thorough understanding of the industry. Unreasonable licensing and startup costs make it difficult for new businesses to establish themselves and flourish while not much is being done to regulate quality of the product itself. But conversely, the advantage to new regulation is that entrepreneurs can be safer from prosecution from outdated federal law.
What words of advice would you offer anyone seeking to enter the world of cannabis business?
Don’t be afraid to dive in. Yes, there are obstacles for startups, but now is the time to invest. It’s the fastest new growing industry in the country, just make sure you really understand your customers and have a way to distinguish yourself from your competition.
What are the goals and vision moving forward, for your company? Where do you see your company in five years?
We want to continue be the standard for trusted, consistent quality in the cannabis industry, expanding our product line and presence to become both a nationwide brand and household name. We want to resonate with people and integrate into the community, finding new ways to connect with patients, giving back and introducing people to the idea that cannabis can be a positive and productive force.
What do you hope to accomplish in the cannabis industry?
In addition to becoming a name synonymous with and inseparable from cannabis, we want to permanently raise the bar for what patients are willing to accept from the industry. We want to lead by example continuing to make products that push the industry by creating customers that demand more from their cannabis.
