If you’re ever having trouble remembering if sativas are uppers or downers, just think spring and summer—happy seasons—start with that same “s.” These are strains that are meant to get you going—not catch a case of cabin fever—and at Sativa Summer Camp, Flo is the camp counselor. V.I.P. Cannabis made our trip to Denver when we spotted her in its jars. Flo has a few phenotypes developed by DJ Short, this being the more purple of the two, weaved between shadier forest leaf hues like a lanyard. The scent is a little dull when unmolested, but breaking even small buds released wafts of dark berries and conifers, like you had wrecked an ATV heading through the woods. We didn’t change our insurance rates, but this Flo got “progressively” better as a high-energy creeper. At first, conversation came as easy as sitting around a campfire, but soon we were eager to get off to our next adventure, hunting around the office for projects to dig in to. Even if it feels a little ADD at times, this Flo can be really productive if used in moderation. Otherwise, you might be calling your parents and telling them you want to come home early.
