Dutch Treat #7

The precise lineage of this hybrid (80-percent indica, 20-percent sativa) is hard to pin down—it’s Dutch Treat, of course, crossed with an unknown reddish strain that makes us think Northern Lights—but you simply will not care. It’s a very strong strain with a solid, clear head high that’s not too distracting and it has a gorgeous citrus perfume. This would be an excellent choice for a good overall pain killer and stress relief. Even the folks at Green Medical Society in north Seattle are stumped by its lineage, but they know that it’s an old strain that came down from British Columbia during the heyday of Marc Emery’s seed-selling days. It’s existed in clone-only form amongst a small group of aficionados ever since. It’s good they’ve kept it around: Emery is in federal prison, his seed company is gone and this strain is a very nice example of smart hybridization and quality medical cannabis.
