Black Bubba

Who would have thought that one of the best known names in medical marijuana would turn out to be a Bubba? Hint: We’re not talking about a stoner Bubba Gump, who would likely bore you to death naming off his favorite strains. No, the true Bubs is a potent indica that is more like moonshine than moon boots. Heartland Pharmacy in Denver showed us the goods on a recent trip with a particularly memorable cut. A Bubba should always smell like a drained saltwater fish tank being cleaned out with latex gloves, and this was no exception. It’s not as über-purple as other expressions of these genetics, but that would be hard to tell with the insane resin production that coats the small tufts of the nugs. The smoke from this sample was thick and peppery, giving nice lung expansion, and it burned to a clean, white ash. We found this was exceptional pre-hibernation smoke, as we just wanted to stuff our faces and pass out for a bit. In fact, a shrimp boat may have made it the perfect afternoon.
