Prepare for Beast Mode. Girl Scout Cookies has begun mutating in the wild. The Hemp Center in San Francisco created the original cut of Cookies out of OG Kush, Durban Poison and Cherry Kush. Now it has recombined with what Theraleaf in San Jose says is OG Kush (others say Fire OG) to form: Animal Cookies! It’s as if Girl Scout Cookies got more indica. These mongrel monsters were dark purple, green and orange; big, thick and pungent—even through the tin. Its complex lineage made for a complicated smell: woody, pulpy and musky? As dense and brittle as rock candy, grinding Animal Cookies released notes of mint and pepper. When smoked, however, it had a huge body of grape, cherry and wood.
