Cascadia Crush
Standing out among the wonders of the Pacific Northwest is the Cascade Range, a spectacular system of high peaks that just happens to be the most volcanically active area in the continental U.S. Like its namesake, Cascadia Crush, which we found at Dockside Co-op in the Fremont section of Seattle, soars high, burns hot and goes on seemingly forever. It also radiates the heady aroma and taste of a pine forest in summer, but that might be pushing the comparison too far. Cascadia Crush’s buds are long (ours was about 4 inches), fluffy and incredibly light—you’ll be amazed at how much of it you’ll get for an eighth. It’s almost uniform in color—think light, light green, with only the occasional light-brown hair in the mix. It’s also a pure indica and everything that implies, including a deeply felt, powerfully narcotic stone, so put away the car keys and make your couch your new best friend. Use it when in need of quick and long-lasting pain relief: It’s perfect for migraines, CS, nausea and chronic muscle spasms.
