PR 80

We looked around for comments from cannabis aficionados about PR 80, which we found at Gourmet Green Edibles in Los Angeles, and came across a remark by someone calling it “the closest thing to Percocet I ever tried.” That’s sorta/kinda accurate. Like the pain pill, PR 80 hits hard enough to alleviate severe pain and stress for hours. But unlike the oxycodone-laden pill, PR 80’s pain relief doesn’t involve the occasional nasty side effect of death. A 90-percent-indica hybrid, the variety is clean relief from suffering, the way nature intended. The buds are spade-shaped and remarkably pungent for a strain so muted in color (fuzzy, drab-olive leaves tangled up in drab-brown hairs). You might be fooled into thinking that absence of bold hues translates to an absence of potency, but that would be a grave mistake. PR 80 is a high-high-highly powerful strain—its THC count registers in the upper 20s, meaning you don’t want to mess with it unless you’re looking to get really intoxicated. That’s an important option to have available when you’re hurting from such ailments as insomnia, severe nausea, muscle spasms and nerve damage.
